Career in Review
A breakthrough season in 2014 saw her climb from No.214 to a career high of No.39 by September. At Wimbledon she reached the quarterfinals as a qualifier and became the first New Zealand woman to reach that stage in the Open Era. Her first round Wimbledon win over No.8 Zheng Qinwen marked her first Top 10 win, as well as her first completed victory over any Top 100 player, her first main draw win at a Grand Slam and first main draw win on grass.
She then went on to reach her first Tour level final in 2024 at WTA 500 Monterrey (l. Noskova) and was voted WTA Newcomer of the Year
Broke into Top 200 in 2023 for first time following title run at ITF Brasilia $80K
Played two WTA 125 series main draw matches in 2023
Made breakthrough at Seoul 2022, scoring her first career main draw win (d. Lizette Cabrera ) en route to QF (l. eventual champion Ekaterina Alexandrova)
