Career in Review
First Top 150 season finish in 2024; advanced to first WTA semifinal of career at Hua Hin (l. Siegemund) and was doubles R-Up at the WTA 125 event in Mumbai (w/Thombare), where she was also a singles semifinalist. Played in qualifying at all four majors.
In 2023, breakthrough result came at Osaka reaching QF (l. Hontama). Also reached Australian Open main draw for a second time (as qualifier, l. Rogers) as well as main draw at Seoul (as qualifier, l. Yuan) and Nanchang (l. Zvonareva).
Highlight of 2022 was reaching first career Grand Slam main draw at Australian Open as a qualifier (l. Anisimova); also reached 2r at 's-Hertogenbosch and played main draw of Charleston, Warsaw, Chennai and Seoul
At ITF events, finished R-Up at W25 Fredericton and reached SF at W60 Saguenay
Won first WTA main-draw match during run through qualifying to 2r at 2021 Luxembourg (l. eventual R-Up Ostapenko). Moved into Top 200 for first time in 2021.
Best result of 2020 was R-Up finish at $15k ITF/Lousada-POR
Won ITF Circuit title at $15k ITF/Jakarta-INA in 2019 (also won this title in 2018)
Fell at first hurdle on WTA qualifying debut at 2019 's-Hertogenbosch
Made ITF Circuit debut at $10k Meppel in 2012
Played for University of Mississippi and won the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship, becoming the first Dutch player to do so. The same year she won the Honda Sports Award awarded to the top female collegiate tennis player
