- Coached by brother, Darren Snyder...Began playing tennis at age five when father introduced her to the game at a city tennis center...Has an all-around game and prefers hard courts...Mother, Pat, is a teacher; father, Darrel, is sales director for a tennis court builder; has an older brother, Darren, who is a very good tennis and soccer player who was drafted in the pro indoor soccer league, and a younger brother, Damon, who was an all-state high school soccer player; uncle, Dave Snyder, is the men's tennis coach at the University of Texas...Graduated a semester early from Wichita North High School in 1995, where she was on the Honor Roll...Most memorable experience was winning the US Open junior title...Self-described as religious, competitive, focused, caring and happy...People she most admires are her parents because they're always there for her...Tennis player most admired is Pete Sampras for his versatile game...Has a dog named Pele...Favorites include the Bible, the movie Pretty Woman, actor Richard Gere and sushi...Other sports interest is soccer...Hobbies include listening to music and reading...Favorite place to visit is New York for the US Open...Would like to become a sports nutritionist or pursue a career in sports medicine in the future.
