- Girls’ singles champion at Wimbledon in 1972 and the US Open in 1974... Founding member of the WTA, who was present at London’s Gloucester Hotel when the organization was founded in June, 1973... Became South Africa’s youngest-ever No.1 in 1974… US Open doubles champion (w/Boshoff) and French Open mixed doubles champion in 1976 (w/Warwick)...
